The year 2012 was marked with many events. Queen Elizabeth celebrated 60 years on the throne. Gangnam Style caused a cultural phenomenon. The Curiosity Rover landed on Mars, giving us an unheralded look at our neighboring planet... BUT WHATEVS to all that because 2012 was also the year that local comedy dynamo Marcos Barnes started training & performing in the art of improv. And now, as he's ready to leave us for the bright lights of Chicago, his friends and castmates are saying goodbye the only way we know how... with one FINAL blowout of a show! Join us for "A Chicagoan Tale: Marcos Goes (Mid)-West!" a live interactive comedy fundraiser saying goodbye to one of South Florida's top improv talents!
"A Chicagoan Tale: Marcos Goes (Mid)-West" will take place this Memorial Day Weekend on Sunday, May 25th, 2014 at 8:00 pm. Join Marcos and some of his comedy friends as they perform with him, for you, for one last time, using YOUR ideas to create hilarious comedy! Show Producer and improv veteran of 15 years Carlos Rivera says "Marcos consistently demonstrates an ability to create entertaining, dynamic characters right on the spot, making him a fun castmate to work with, but more importantly, a great friend. I'm sure I speak for everyone that's worked with him when I say we'll all miss him and wish him the best on the next phase of his comedy career!"
In addition, if you come to the show, not only will you be in for a hilarious time, but you'll also be helping this young man out in his new adventure, as 50% of net ticket sales will go directly to Marcos to help him out as he gets started. So join us this Sunday at Artistic Vibes, one of Miami's newest and most dynamic theater venues, as we say goodbye to Marcos.
